Our local beautiful Pine Ridge Conservation Park took a beating from TC Alfred. We need YOUR help for a fun and rewarding event where we’ll be on Alfred-recovery duties, collecting tree guards from koala habitat trees!
Tree guards are crucial for protecting young trees during their early stages, but unfortunately they have received a battering from Alfred. Now, it’s time for them to come off so the trees can thrive naturally. And we want to do this as a team! Let’s get together and give ecologist Callum a hand with the tree guards, tidying the planting area to keep this beautiful spot thriving! It’s a fantastic chance to connect with nature, meet like-minded people, and give back to your community.
The event will be followed by a morning tea as a chance to refuel and connect with fellow nature-lovers.
You don’t need any experience to help out with this project.
Note: this is an outdoor project and volunteers should be mindful of the weather conditions on summer. Bring plenty of water and use appropriate sun protection.
THIS PROJECT IS SUITABLE FOR KIDS!
