Did you know we have a beautiful Conservation Park in our local area? It is called Pine Ridge Conservation Park and it is full of unique habitat. In fact, it is so unique that most of similar habitat has disappeared over time in Australia. A group of volunteers, lead by Ecologist Callum, is passionate about looking after and conserving as much as they can of this local park. But there is too much work and they can’t do it all.
In April, the Park team and lots of volunteers planted 2500 trees! All that precious new life needs to be looked after! Let’s get together and give Callum a hand with weeding, organising tree guards, and tidying the planting area to keep this beautiful spot thriving! It’s a fantastic chance to connect with nature, meet like-minded people, and give back to your community. We’ll start early before the heat of the day kicks in!
You don’t need any experience to help out with this project. Just come and join a morning in nature!
Note: this is an outdoor project and volunteers should be mindful of the weather conditions on summer. Bring plenty of water and use appropriate sun protection.
THIS PROJECT IS SUITABLE FOR KIDS!
