Join us for a heartwarming project where you’ll bring joy and companionship to elderly residents in nursing homes. We gather to play games, engage in fun activities, and create meaningful connections with those who may otherwise feel isolated. We join other volunteers who bring their dog and together we’ll provide much-needed social interaction.
We will also use our special ‘curiosity cupboard’ for this project to help open up conversation and to play fun games. The cupboard is flexible so if you have anything from which you think it might spark the interest of elderly people, make sure to bring it along! Sensory items work well, so do items with images of in fun shapes.
